To coincide with the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the City of Paris' Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d'Art presents the exhibition Terrain de jeux, la création rencontre le sport. Sport is about practice and competition, but also about shapes, colors and movement, all of which are sources of inspiration for craftspeople, fashion designers and designers. Numerous objects, garments, accessories and installations are conceived, designed and produced to promote, enhance, divert or transcend the practice of sport. The projects presented in this exhibition tell the story of how design, fashion and crafts interact with and draw inspiration from the world of sport, creating ever fruitful encounters. The fields of experimentation include awards, games, street furniture, performance and movement.
