Parkour, Moynat, Milano Design Week 2026
Commissioned by Moynat for the opening of its first Italian flagship store, Parkour translates the formal language of the house’s archival trunks into an interactive landscape, where movement becomes a contemporary interpretation of travel.
Custom-designed to fit specific vehicle bodies and the items they were meant to carry, these historic trunks developed unexpected silhouettes—curved, tapered, asymmetrical—much like bespoke pieces. Their sculptural forms evoke the oversized foam blocks found on indoor parkour courses.
Selected archival trunks have been recreated on a 1:1 scale as XXL foam modules, preserving their original proportions while transforming the material and scale. Crafted from a patchwork of repurposed beach floats, each module reinterprets the details of the original trunks: snap fasteners echo the original nails, inflatable handles replace the leather grips, and printed surfaces become the contemporary equivalent of painted leather. Visitors are invited to sit, climb, move, and rearrange the elements, constantly shaping an ever-changing landscape.
